Our winter Range hours are
10 AM – 2PM Sat, Sun & Wed
Weather permitting.
Please understand that at any time, if weather conditions are bad or threatening, the Range Safety Officer may elect to not open or to close early. Also note that after a heavy rain or snow melt the USFS may restrict our entry even though it is clear and sunny for the next several days. This is done to allow the roadway to dry and therefore prevent excessive rutting. We have no control over these decisions. The range may occasionally be found closed due to activities of one of the other authorized range users. And lastly the WSC needs more Range Safety Officers as several have ‘retired’ or moved. If we cannot staff a scheduled Range day the range will be closed. If you have some time please consider becoming a WSC RSO!
Bottom line – if the American flag and WSC ‘Range Open’ sign are not posted the Range is closed. Your understanding will be appreciated.
The Williams Sportsman’s Club (WSC) is a non profit membership club sanctioned by the City of Williams, Arizona through a National Forest Service special use permit authorizing the Williams Shooting Range.
WSC is dedicated to the rights of the individual citizen to own and use firearms for recreation, competition, hunting and self defense. WSC shall be operated in a manner that provides an enjoyable experience for all shooters while safety is maintained through compliance with range rules as prescribed by range guidelines and Range Safety Officers (RSO).
WSC offers 10 covered benches for a 200 yard rifle range and a covered 6 bay 25 yard pistol range.
Steel targets are available at both 100 and 200 yards to test ones abilities.
Off site, WSC offers a challenging sporting clays range with 9 blinds and 13 stations to truly test ones shotgun abilities.
